    Windhoek - Kalahari
    Day 1

    Depart Windhoek and drive via Rehoboth into Kalahari Desert for overnight at your lodge. A scenic drive will be undertaken towards sunset (in open vehicles).

    Fish River Canyon
    Day 2

    Drive through Kalahari and visit the Quiver tree forest near Keetmanshoop. Lunch in Keetmanshoop (for your own account) and from there continue to Naute Dam to the northern fringes of Fish River Canyon. Overnight near Fish River.

    Day 3 Transfer by car

    The adventure continues today, travel through the famous area where you will find the world’s only wild desert-dwelling horses. With various theories on their origin, seeing these bony beasts on the horizon while traveling through these harsh conditions, it will remind us that the adaption ability of human and beast create spectacular life in a desert often seen as dead. 
    We overnight in a small village called Aus. Aus was formerly the site of a prisoner-of-war camp established by the South African army in 1915 to house German inmates during WW1.

    Optional excursion to Kolmanskop possible (on your own account)  – enquire with your guide regarding the rate (min 4 guests). See the ever-changing vistas of the desert landscapes when driving along the most beautiful district road in Namibia, the D707 (road conditions permitting). Visit Duwiseb Castle before arriving at the lodge in the late afternoon. Overnight in Maltahöhe region.

    Namib Nauktluf
    Day 5

    Early wakeup to visit Sossusvlei where you will undertake a 4x4 vehicle drive into the heart of the Namib Desert. Climb into the gorge of Sesriem Canyon before you travel past the impressive Namib Naukluft Mountains to your lodge. Overnight near Namib Naukluft Park.

    Day 6

    Drive through Kuiseb Canyon and continue towards Walvis Bay at the coast. Lunch in Walvis Bay (for own account). Visit Walvis Bay Lagoon to view seabirds. Travel to Swakopmund. Enjoy a complimentary sundowner at the Moon Landscape

    Swakopmund’s variety of attractions and activities cater for all tastes and styles. Take a walk along the beach and dip your toes in the icy Atlantic Ocean or visit the Kristal Gallery which boasts the largest Quartz Crystal Cluster on display in the world, weighing in at 14,100 kilogrammes. Browse the many excellent bookshops and curio shops and spoil yourself with a unique gift from the area. If adrenalin and the outdoors thrills you, you can enjoy optional activities like quad biking, sand boarding, 4x4 safaris, skydiving (weather permitting) and more.

    Damaraland
    Day 9

    Depart early morning on the salt road towards Henties Bay, past some pans and an array of bird life. Visit Twyfelfontein and the Organ Pipes on your way into wild Damaraland. A packed lunch is provided en route. Arrive at the lodge during the late afternoon.

    Morning at leisure. Have lunch at the lodge and in the afternoon join a sun downer drive in the Aba Huab River and possibly encounter the desert dwelling elephants (seasonal).

    Damaraland - Outjo
    Day 11

    Leave Damaraland. Visit a Damara village near Twyfelfontein and learn more about the culture and the tradition of this half-nomadic people. Continue via the little town of Outjo. Lunch stop (for own account) - possibly meet fellow guests joining the Etosha tour. From there continue to Etosha National Park. Arrive in the early afternoon and undertake your first game drive into the park.

    Etosha Park
    Day 12

    Day excursion into the Etosha Park. Except for the rainy season, Etosha’s animals are dependent on artificial waterholes and natural springs. Explore the various waterholes along this enormous saltpan in a closed vehicle game drive (open vehicle game drives are optional and for own account). Lunch stop at one of the rest camps (lunch for your own account).

    Etosha Park
    Day 13

    Continue discovering the huge variety of wildlife in the Etosha Park in a closed vehicle game drive (open vehicle game drives are optional and for own account). Of the 114 mammals species found here, several are rare and endangered like the black rhino or the black faced impala. Your guide will also introduce you to the complex subject of managing such an enormous reserve. Lunch stop at one of the rest camps (lunch for own account).

    Day 14

    Depart the Lodge or camp and travel south towards Otjiwarongo. Continue towards Windhoek via Okahandja where we will visit a local handicraft market. Tour ends on arrival in Windhoek late afternoon.
