Crafted for those interested in experiencing Tanzania's great migration, which takes place between July to October, this six-day, guided tour starts with a trip to Tarangire National Park, home to over 500 avian species. Next on the itinerary is the iconic Serengeti, specifically its northern section, which will be your home for three nights. Compared with the national park's southern plains, the northern side is quiet, beautiful and much more pristine. Plus, it is wetter than the southern section, and wildebeests fatten themselves on its grasslands before the odyssey begins. Enjoy numerous game drives in Serengeti and soak up the sights of acres of woodlands spread out over hills and sprawling plains. The final destination on your itinerary is Ngorongoro, a natural wonder like none other. Your accommodation during this trip will mostly be in modern, large, two-men tents with a sewn-in ground sheet covered with a comfortable foam mattress. Please note that a table, chairs and mats are provided along with the tent, but sleeping bags, blankets, sheets and towels are not included.

    Arusha – Tarangire National Park
    Day 1

    Leave Arusha in the rearview mirror as you head for Tarangire National Park in the morning. Explore its arid, open plains dotted with baobab and acacia trees. Later afternoon drive to your camp in the evening for an overnight stay.

    Tarangire – North Serengeti
    Day 2

    Head out of Manyara region after breakfast and drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to northern Serengeti. Have your picnic lunch en route to the national park and, on reaching there, proceed with your game drive.

    Northern Serengeti National Park (Tracing the direction of the Wildebeests)
    Day 3 - 4

    Start your day with an early morning game drive followed by a breakfast. Have your afternoon lunch before going out on your afternoon game drive. Follow the Mara River as you travel through Kogatende and Bologonja areas. Return to your camp in the evening.

    North Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater Rim
    Day 5

    Enjoy your one last game drive in northern Serengeti. Then pack your belongings and head out with a packed lunch to the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. Today, you have the option to drive via Olduvai Gorge if you want to. Arrive in your camp located at the crater rim late in the evening.

    Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha
    Day 6 Transfer by car

    Descend to the crater floor with your lunch box after breakfast game viewing. The famous Ngorongoro Crater is rich in wildlife, with each species occupying their own territory. Have your packed lunch on the crater floor at a picnic spot near the lerai forest or the hippo pool. Drive back to Arusha in the afternoon.

    Please note that today’s accommodation is not included in the tour price. However, we can arrange it on request if you want to.
