Teekoy

Teekoy is a Southern Indian village, situated in the eastern part of Kottayam district in Kerala.

Teekoy is a mixture of countryside and hills and it boasts a big green spaces with lush vegetation and a unpolluted atmosphere. The main activity of the people of this village is the agriculture, but also the tourism is a developping activity. Teekoy is where rubber, elachi, ginger, cardamom, clove, nutmeg, turmeric, pepper, cashew and other spices are cultivated. Considerable variety of medicinal plants also grow here.

Pic nic lovers and holidaymakers often come to Teekoy. The are many beautiful paths which are useful for the trekking lovers. These paths pass through several plain lands and beautiful landscapes, which are unique due to mountains, waterfalls and caves. Some of the most important routes of Teekoy lead to Ayyampara mountain and to Illickan mountain.
