Florence without the Medici family wouldn't have been the same!
From their arrival in Florence till the end of 1300 they contributed to the growth of the city, starting the Rinascimento and collecting in their beautiful city some of the most important artworks that are now part of the artistic heritage of Florence.
They were banned from Florence but managed to came back and to continue to make Florence great. Their family had 2 queen of France and 2 popes and for a long time they where one of the most powerful families in Europe.
We'll travel through their history walking from Palazzo Medici, the first palace built by this family of bankers, to Palazzo Pitti, the last home of the Grandukes, touching the most important milestones of their history.
