Fabolous Komodo Liveaboard Cruise and underwater life
- Indonesia and Bali
- Tour
Komodo and surrounding islands consist of a dry, hostile wilderness, with towering cliffs forming eerie horizons as you approach. Starkly beautiful as it is, the island’s lack of water deterred permanent settlers. If it weren't for the uniqueness of nature that made it home to one of the world's most amazing creatures, very few people would have dared venture out into this area. The Komodo dragon, or ora as it is known locally, is perhaps the most tangible legacy of our Jurassic predecessors, modern dinosaurs that only live on Komodo and a few neighboring islands. Rinca island, to the east of Komodo, is still the park's best kept secret. Its starkly beautiful, prehistoric landscape sees few visitors, even though the island contains nearly as many dragons as its larger neighbors.
