Ajanta

Ajanta has more than 30 rock-cut Buddhist caves in the Aurangabad district in Maharashtra, India. AJANTA is world's greatest historical monument recognised by UNESCO located  just 55kms from Jalgaon city and 105kms from  Aurangabad City.

The closest railway stations are in Aurangabad for the Ellora caves (45 minutes away) and Jalgaon for the Ajanta caves (1.5 hours away). There’s also an airport in Aurangabad.    

The caves are located in the Indian state of Maharashtra, near Jalgaon and just outside the village of Ajinṭha
