    Windhoek
    Day 1

    Arrive at the Hosea Kutako International Airport in Windhoek and meet your representative/guide who will give you a complimentary bottle of water. You'll then depart from the airport to your cozy hotel for the night. On the way enjoy a short guided tour through Windhoek.

    Dinner tonight is at your own expense at the well-known Joe’s Beerhouse. Meet some of the locals at Joe’s and enjoy their home brew. (Total distance: 60 km; Approx. driving time: 1 hour). No meal included.

    Kalahari desert
    Day 2

    After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, leave the capital behind and head to the deep Kalahari Desert, a semi-desert area and the largest continuous stretch of sand in the world, spreading from South Africa to the Congo Basin. Your lodge is set around a lush garden where you can visit the Self Sufficient Centre where seasonal vegetables are grown, cows are milked, and a variety of cheeses, salamis, sausages and biltong are produced.

    Afternoon game drive into the Kalahari sands. (Total distance: 310 km; Approx.  driving time: 6 hours). Full board.

    Fish River Canyon
    Day 3

    Before breakfast, head out on a short walk to view the sunrise over this vast expanse. You will have a long drive today heading past the impressive Quiver Tree Forest in Keetmanshoop before arriving at your accommodation near Fish River Canyon, the second largest canyon in the world. (Total distance: 450 km; Approx.  driving time: 7 hours). Full board.

    Luderitz
    Day 4

    After breakfast, head out on a short walk on the property, then set off and visit the canyon viewpoint to enjoy this splendour in the morning light.  

    The tour continues us past the hamlet of Holoog with its Limestone Oven and then heading West to the Atlantic Ocean. You'll pass Aus where you might catch a glimpse of the well-known wild desert horses. The next destination is the seaside town of Luderitz with its German architecture and beautiful peninsula.

    Relax in the afternoon. Feel free to take a walk around town. (Total distance: 400 km; Approx.  driving time:  6 hours). Full board.

    Namib Naukluft
    Day 5-6

    After breakfast you will take an early morning tour through Kolmanskop, a deserted ghost town which was once the centre of the diamond rush.  From Kolmanskop, you will head back inland heading for the Namib Desert driving past small hamlets like Helmeringshausen.  Take a late afternoon walk up one of the many granite boulder-strewn koppies to enjoy the setting sun.

    Your lodge is situated within a 20 000 hectare private nature reserve within the Namibrand Nature Reserve and boasts a wide variety of wildlife. Over the next two days you will have the chance to explore this wilderness on foot and as part of an afternoon/evening game viewing safari. The Namib Desert,80 million years old, is the oldest desert in the world. (Total distance:510 km; Approx.  driving time: 8 hours). Full board.

    Sesriem
    Day 7

    Enjoy a relaxed morning and leave after breakfast on your 120 km drive to the gate at Sesriem. While driving deeper into the desert, the landscape gets even more gripping. Gemsbok and zebra come and go with the waving grassland interspersed with the odd red sand dune. You will reach the gate at Sesriem and the Sossusvlei section of the Namib-Naukluft Park. After signing in at Sesriem, reach the lodge and check in.

    After relaxing, you will head to the Sesriem Canyon, where the erosion of many centuries has incised a narrow gorge about 1km in length. The gorge is 30 – 40 metres deep and you will take a short walk to look for some of the last water of the season hidden in the deep crevaces in the canyon. From here you will then drive to the nearest dunes to enjoy a sundowner drink. (Total distance: 120 km; Approx.  driving time:  2 hours). Breakfast and lunch included.

    Day 8

    Wake up really early today to cover the 60 km to Sossusvlei in the dark in order to be there in time for the sunrise. Later on you will drive to the Dead Vlei parking area before setting off on foot to Sossusvlei where you can climb the dune. The views from the top of Sossusvlei are as spectacular as the mysterious sight of the dead Camelthorn trees in Dead Vlei. The vlei (marsh) is dry and full of dead camel-thorn trees (500-600 years old), which makes it very photogenic.

    Later you will drive to the one-horse town of Solitaire - well-known for its Apfelstrudel and atmosphere. Here enjoy a quick lunch before continuing through the desert to the cooler climate of the Atlantic Ocean and Swakopmund. The change in scenerey is clearly visible. Travel through the Kuiseb Canyon en-route to Walvis Bay. After a long day, enjoy dinner at Kucki’s Restaurant a short walk from your guesthouse. (Total distance: 550 km; Approx. driving time:8 hours). Full board.

    Day 9-10

    Breakfast is served at the guesthouse. Use Day 9 & 10 to relax and stroll around town, or indulge in one of the many optional activities: Skydiving (highly recommended), sand boarding, quad biking, specialised desert tour to discover the unique life that thrives in this harsh desert landscape, Pelican Point kayaking (Walvis Bay), Sandwich Harbour tour (Walvis Bay) where the dunes come all the way down to meet with the waves.

    In the afternoon of Day 10 you will drive back into the desert to view the spectacular Moon Landscape and Welwitschia plains (where the interesting Welwitschia Mirabilis plant can be seen). This is also a great place for sunset. Drive back to town for dinner. Breakfast on day 9 and breakfast and dinner on day 10 are included.

    Day 11

    Head North from Swakopmund on the salt road.  Drive up the Skeleton Coast past Henties Bay and briefly stop over at Cape Cross and the Cape Fur Seal colony. From here you will drive to the impressive Spitzkoppe for a lunch stop and exploration of the area. Arrive at the lodge late in the afternoon. (Total distance: 300 km; Approx.  driving time:  5 hours). Full board.

    Day 12

    Today you will drive in the direction of Twyfelfontein passing the impressive Brandberg Mountain, Namibia’s highest mountain. You will arrive early enough at your luxury camp for you to spend the day relaxing, taking in the beautiful scenery and soaking up the sun. (Total distance: 260 km; Approx. driving time: 5 hours). Full board.

    Day 13

    Today you will drive deeper into the beautiful Damaraland. This landscape is dominated by vastness, ephemeral river beds and small hamlets. You will pass some Herero people selling their handmade goods along the road. Visit the petrified forest where large tree trunks estimated to be 260 million years old has been deposited. Undertake a guided walk around the area.

    Your lodge is nestled on the Uniab River in an area which supports the highest population of predators in Namibia outside of Etosha as well as the highly endangered black rhino. The desert adapted elephants are also regular visitors to the greenery around the lodge. After checking in and relaxing, take a guided walk to a beautiful viewpoint high above the Damaraland plains. Enjoy a beautiful sunset from the lodge area before dinner is served in the restaurant. (Total distance:  160 km; Approx. driving time: 3 hours). Full board.

    Day 14

    This morning you have the option to do a rhino tracking safari on foot with the guides from Palmwag (not included). From Palmwag then travel north in the direction of the Angolan border, reaching your lodge in the early afternoon. The lodge is situated in the stunning Khowarib Shlucht on the Hoanib River. Accommodation is in luxury en-suite tents. In the afternoon enjoy a walk along the river. (Total distance:  80 km; Approx. driving time: 2 hours). Full board.

    Etosha National Park
    Day 15

    We drive via Kamanjab towards Outjo. Enter the world famous Etosha National Park at Anderson Gate. From here it is a short drive to the main camp, Okaukuejo, where you will stay for two nights. This park surrounding the Etosha Pan (a large salt pan that can be seen from space), is a natural wonderland where we hope to see most of the wildlife that roam this vast park. Etosha is one of the most easily accessible big game parks in Africa. Despite the pan which is dry for most of the year, the permanent waterholes sustain a great number of wildlife and birds.

    After checking in and lunch, we have time to relax before we leave on an afternoon game drive. (Total distance: 400 km; Approx.  driving time: 6 hours). Full board.

    Etosha National Park
    Day 16

    The schedule in Etosha is structured according to your game viewing preferences. Visit the various waterholes and wait for the wildlife spectacle to unfold. Choose to relax in the camp or join us for another day filled with game drives visiting one of the numerous waterholes in the area. Dinner is own expense tonight. (Total distance: 100 km; Approx.  driving time: 6 hours). Breakfast and lunch included.

    Day 17

    Continue with your journey into the heart of the Etosha National Park. Leave Okaukuejo and while game driving along the southern edge of the pan, reach Namutoni Rest Camp. (Total distance: 70 km, Approx. driving time: 6 hours). Full board.

    Waterberg Plateau National Park
    Day 18

    After three days in Etosha, you will leave the park behind. Your next destination is the Waterberg Plateau - a prominent feature rising high above the plains of the Namibian Kalahari. You will undertake a guided game drive in the afternoon. Enjoy the spectacular views from this impressive geological formation. The park is not only of scenic and natural importance (it serves as a breeding area for endangered wildlife from across Namibia), but it was also where the proud Herero people lost their last and greatest battle against German forces and were then forced to flee to Botswana. (Total distance: 320 km; Approx. driving time: 5 hours). Full board.

    Day 19

    Before breakfast, take a walk up to the top of the plateau to enjoy the spectacular scene in the early morning sun. After breakfast we depart back to Windhoek. Spend the afternoon exploring Windhoek and its various wonderful shops. Tonight enjoy a special farewell dinner at the hotel. (Total distance: 350 km, Approx. driving time:  4 hours). Breakfast and dinner included.
