Furthermore, during this trip to South Africa, you can taste delicious dishes based on seafood and relax in the endless blue seas enjoying this seaside heaven.
The most important steps of your dream holiday and tour in South Africa are:
Transfer from Cape Town to Tulbagh, a suggestive town enclosed by mountain chains offering landscapes that will take your breath away and filled with important history recounted through its architectural heritage (90 min). Upon arrival, settle into your hotel, where old-world charm and modern comforts are perfectly combined. Enjoy a stroll along the historic Church Street, revel in the sight of mesmerising houses depicting Cape Dutch, Victorian and Edwardian architecture and quaint museums narrating the history of the Tulbagh valley. Overnight at The Tulbagh Boutique Heritage Hotel.
Enjoy an unforgettable day in the valley of abundance. The journey starts with an adventurous travel on the zip-line in the mountains of Ceres. Knee-buckling at first – but as you take your first zip through the mountainous terrain with jaw-dropping views below you, you realise what an exciting and worthwhile experience this is! Then to relax yourself, head for a tasting of award-winning wines accompanied by a delectable picnic lunch next to the Saronsberg Wine Cellar dam. This amazing designed cellar boasts carefully selected art pieces put on display throughout the grounds, tasting room and art gallery. Overnight at The Tulbagh Boutique Heritage Hotel.
After breakfast, your tour continues to the West Coast till reaching the stunning fishing village of Paternoster. As you enter the little town, make a stop at the “Oep ve Koep” convenience store; it is possibile to find traditional South African treats, such as “beskuit” and “loslekkers”.
Check-in in the hotel, the Abalone House, which is characterized by gaudy coulours and indulgence textures. If you visit the West Coast on a windy winter’s day, a crackling fire and plentiful books and board games will make you feel relaxed and at home in an old beach house trimmed with luxury. For dinner, the famous Reuben’s restaurant will satisfy your palate. Overnight at Abalone House & Spa.
Free day at leisure. You can enjoy the spa treatment at the Healing Earth Spa at Abalone House, or take a long stroll on the beach while watching painted fishing boats making their way back to shore. Sit in the Abalone House lounge with a long coffee and a good book – this might be one of the most relaxing days you’ve had in a long time! Overnight at Abalone House & Spa.
Breakfast at the hotel, then you'll take a drive back to Cape Town. Enjoy the landscape while on way, during the flower season, around August and September, take a small detour through the West Coast National Park for a spectacular multi-coloured display of flowers.
