Start your morning with a visit to the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, an architectural masterpiece and one of the largest mosques in the Middle East, featuring a magnificent crystal chandelier and one of the world’s largest hand-woven carpets. Continue to the Bait Al Zubair Museum, which showcases Omani history through traditional costumes, antique weapons, and ancient artifacts. Take a photo stop at the elegant Al Alam Palace, the ceremonial residence of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, framed by the 16th-century Portuguese forts Mirani and Jalali. End the tour at Muttrah Souq, a lively market filled with the aroma of frankincense, where you can shop for silver jewelry, textiles, and handicrafts.

Drive to Nizwa, the cultural heart of Oman, once a center of trade and education. Explore Nizwa Fort, famous for its massive circular tower and sweeping views of the date-palm oasis and Hajar Mountains. Visit the 17th-century Jabrin Castle, admired for its beautiful ceiling paintings, decorative plasterwork, and finely carved wooden doors. Continue to Bahla, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its ancient fort (currently under restoration) and traditional pottery workshops. Overnight in Nizwa.

This morning, visit the stunning Wadi Bani Khalid, a natural oasis with turquoise pools and date palms where you may take a refreshing dip. Continue to the coastal town of Sur, once a thriving shipbuilding port known for crafting traditional wooden dhows. After an early dinner, head to Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve to watch Green Turtles nesting on the beach—a truly unforgettable wildlife experience. Overnight stay in Sur.

After breakfast, stop at the ancient town of Qalhat for a photo opportunity at the Ruins of Bibi Miriam’s Tomb, once an important trading hub on the Indian Ocean. Continue to the spectacular Bimah Sinkhole, a natural limestone crater filled with crystal-clear blue-green water—perfect for photos or a quick swim. Drive back along the scenic coastline to Muscat for your final overnight stay.
