Jaipur has strong contrasts and a chaotic but colorful traffic: carriages loaded with fruit pulled by camels make their way through the streets full of cars, rickshaws, bicycles, scooters and pedestrians who try to juggle as they can. Men in Rajput costume sport colorful turbans and slicked mustaches, arguing heatedly out of restaurants serving spaghetti bolognese and American ice creams.
Among the streets of the animated bazaars strong colors dominate, from those of the sari to those of the thousand goods on sale. The atmosphere is particularly evocative in the evening, when the palaces painted pink and ocher magically reflect the light of the sunset.
