Arrival in Mexico City, meeting at the airport and transfer to the hotel.
In the early morning you will depart to the beautiful state of Chiapas. Transfer to Mexico City Airport for a flight to Tuxtla Gutierrez. Upon arrival, pick-up for a transfer to your hotel in San Cristobal de las Casas. On the way you will stop for a boat ride through the Sumidero Canyon, measuring a thousand meters at its highest point. Afterwards, before arriving in San Cristobal de las Casas, you will also pass through the historically important town Chiapa de Corzo. Included: Breakfast.
Breakfast at the hotel and visit to the indigenous communities of Zinacatan and San Juan Chamula, where you can still breathe in the air of "real Mexico", with the inhabitants still wearing the typical clothes of the area. Visit Juan Bautista church, where there are no whites and there are no normal celebrations, since the local population sits on the floor chanting prayers and hymns.
Return to San Cristobal de las Casas for the guided tour of the town old center, established by Diego de Mazariego, who called it "Villareal de Chiapa de los Españoles”, later changed. In the streets you'll breathe in the smell of freshly grinded coffee among colorful houses renovated respecting the unique style of Chiapas. Return to the hotel and free evening.
Breakfast at the hotel and check out heading to Palenque. En route stop at Agua Azul waterfalls, tucked away in the jungle, where you can have a refreshing swim. Continue to the old Mayan city of Palenque with accommodation in a hotel. Afternoon and evening at leisure to discover the town center.
In the morning visit the archaeological site of Palenque, still partly hidden by the tropical jungle, full of charm and unique pyramids. After the visit of the wonders located in this World Heritage Site, departure to Campeche. Upon arrival panoramic tour of the town, still enclosed and fortified with towers and walls, still preserving a strong colonial flavor. Check in to the hotel and dinner at the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to "Ruta Puuc", the "land of the hills" in the Mayan language, where you'll come across Uxmal archaeological site, featuring examples of local Puuc architecture, which is one of the most harmonious and well- proportioned of the Mayan world. The emblem of this style is Chac the God of Rain, represented on the small columns in relief and numerous masks, once considered a god to be venerated constantly given the scarcity of rainfalls and waterways in the area.
Continue to the capital of Yucatan, Merida, called "Ciudad Blanca". Accommodation in hotel and guided city tour, with a walk in the historic center and visit to Plaza Mayor and Casa de Montejo. Despite being a modern city, Merida still manages to preserve the charm of a colonial center which, with its buildings, churches and theaters in French and Spanish style. Dinner at leisure and overnight.
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to the archaeological site simbolizing the Mayan civilization of the Yucatan Peninsula, Chichen Itza, the most famous in the world and considered one of the seven wonders. The site is divided into three groups (Central, Norte and Sur) and the visit includes the famous Castillo, a pyramid erected in honor of God Kukulkan, the round astrological observatory, the temple of the warriors and the field of the "Juego de la Pelota", a bizarre religious game played with elbows, hips and knees. Continue to the Mayan Riviera and overnight in the chosen hotel.
