A tour of Mexico in pursuit of charm, luxury and prestige. It is suited to the most demanding traveler to whom some "plus" exclusive and overnights in Deluxe category hotels are reserved.

From Mexico City, the largest metropolis of the world, we will continue south: from the highlands of the capital to the depths of Chiapas.
The adventure will end in the heart of Yucatan, with the evocative Ruta of the Convents, the route of many convents, temples and chapels built by religious orders who settled in the peninsula to evangelize the natives.

A taste of the daily life of indigenous peoples will not be missed thanks to a visit of some ancient villages, dating back to the Mayan age, and a purification ritual performed by a shaman.

An interesting adventure in the heart of Yucatan visiting the monasteries, temples and chapels, built by religious orders who had settled in the peninsula to evangelize the natives. You will also appreciate the unfolding of everyday life by visiting some villages that exist from the time of the Maya.

Acanceh: only 30 kilometers far from Merida, a quiet town which boasts  "The square of cultures" at ist center combinig pre-Hispanic, colonial and contemporary buildings. The temple dedicated to "Nuestra Señora de la natividad", built in the sixteenth century, is a simple example of pure Franciscan, predominant in the region.

Tecoh: over a hill which may have been an ancient Mayan pyramid, stands the temple and ex-convent dedicated to the "Virgin of the assumption." Other attractions of Tecoh are the Town Hall and a cenote with caves of singular beauty.

Telchaquillo: the facade of the Franciscan church consists of a stone carved by Maya craftsmen. The staircase in the center of the city park leads to a cenote.

Mama: The temple and former Franciscan convent have a beautiful bell tower that must be admired, as well as the closed hall, one of the most famous in the region.

Teabo: In this village there are the remains of an important Mayan cemetery and nearby there are also the two most representative sacred buildings: the temple of San Pablo and the chapel of the Indians.

Maní: scene of the sad "Auto de Fe" celebration in 1562, in which the Bishop Fray Diego de Landa burned the precious writings and Mayan codes. Maní still retains an impressive sign of its enigmatic past, such as the temple of the monastery of San Miguel Arcangel that preserves a Christ made by a finely crafted stone and considered of incredible beautiful.

Oxkutzcab: here you can visit the church of the seventeenth century or the hermitage of the Virgin of Pilar, but what you should not forget to do is to taste the juicy and exotic fruits, so much so that this location was known as "La Huerta del Estado" (the garden of the state).

The convent is undoubtedly one of the best sixteenth century complexes of all Mexico.
