Kumbh Mela is a festival involving from 70 to 100 milion pilgrims including yogis, sadhus and common people, gathering around Ganges and Yamuna river to be purificated. A unique sight for Westerner travelers, especially photographers.
Upon arrival management of customs formalities and meeting with the local representative. Transfer to the hotel (rooms available from 12.00).
Visit the old city, a charming and picturesque maze of lanes. In the same area you can visit Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in the world, and Rajghat where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. Afternoon visit New Delhi with its most important monuments: the Sikh Temple and the government palaces from the colonial period in front of the India Gate. Overnight.
NB: If your flight arrives between midnight and 8 AM and you prefer to go directly to the hotel for some rest, a supplement for an additional night is required.
Breakfast in the hotel and departure for Agra, Along the way visit Itimaud -ud-Dalauh Tomb and Baby Taj. In the afternoon visit the Taj Mahal. one of the seven wonders of the world, a magnificent marble dream rising in the middile of a lush garden as a pearl in a sort of immaculate landscape. Return to the hotel and overnight.
Breakfast in the hotel and transfer to Lucknow. Along the way boat ride on Chambal river to see the crocodile and alligators in Chambal National Park- You'll also see many birds and animals. Lunch at Chambal Wildlife Safari Lodge.
Continue to Licknow, upon arrival overnight in the hotel.
Breakfast in the hotel. Visit Bara and Chota Imambara tombs and the clock tower. A walk in the lanes of the bazaar will top off the tour of this interesting city. Transfer to Allahabad. Arrival and check in to the tented camp. Free day available to attend Kumbh Mela. Overnight in the tented camp.

Free day available to attend Basant Panchami (3rd Shai Shan) at the Sangam, Overnight in the tented camp.
Transfer by car from Allahabad to Varanasi. Accommodation in hotel / ashram. In the afternoon boat ride to Panchaganga Ghat and once back boat ride to the main crematory ghat and evening Aarti for the Fire Ceremony. Night in Varanasi.
Sunrise at the Assi Ghat to see Subh-e-Benares and then on to Tulsi Ghat to see the morning training of the Akhara holy fighters. Visit the well temples in Lolarka Kund. Excursion to visit the rural villages near Varanasi, Sarai Mohanna village and Chraigon village, the first famous for silk manufacturing and the second famous for Guava farming and preparation of hams and seasonings. Then walk down from the Ganges Gaths to see the photograph the many activities of local people taking place here from up close. Night in Varanasi.

Boat ride to see the sun rise on the Ganges along the route of the main Ghats (Dashaswmedh, Rajendra Prasad, Manikarnika, Harishchandra). After getting off the boat you'll visit the Durga Temple, also called "the Monkey God's Temple" and the golden Temple of Vishvanath. During the visit walking tour of Varanasi alleys in the Chowk, the most colorful bazar of the city.
Transfer to the airport for the flight for Delhi. After arriving in Delhi, transfer to the international airport for the flight back to your country.
