Folegandros

Folegandros is a little island belonging to the Cyclades island group, it is the "most beautiful undiscovered island".

Folegandros appears a calm, uncontaminated and suggestive place, due to its natural and anthropological landscape. In fact, the island is characterized by its mountainous area and rocky ground but also by green field. 
Often the rural alleys represent the only way to reach the beautiful beaches, one of the most wonderful beach is Aggali surrounded from the rocks.

While its typical villages are connoted by white plaster and blue frames houses decorated with perfumed bougainvillea and hibiscus. In Foegandros you can find three main villages:  Karavostasi, a small seaside settlement, Hora, the centre of the island, and Ano Meria, a rural village, where it is possible to find the Ecological and Folklore Museum.  

Not-to-miss place are the church of Panaghia Paliokastr and the Kastro, a medieval fortress made by the Venetians.

The local cooking is basic but tasty, enjoy your dinner in the many typical taverns all around Chora.
