Europe tour through Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Turkey, Greece

Flight to Frankfurt from an international airport. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. 

We start the day with a good breakfast and then visit the city, the most important sites of the old city where the German Emperors were crowned, and the modern European banking centre which is present-day Frankfurt.
 

Departure for Austria, stopping on the way to visit beautiful Nuremberg. We continue on to imperial Vienna. Transfer to the hotel.
 

Breakfast followed by a guided tour of this lovely city. We can admire the State Opera, the Parliament building and the impressive Schönbrunn palace. But it is the Belvedere Palace, home of Gustav Klimt’s famous “Kiss”, which will fill us with the romanticism of Vienna.

Today we will travel to Prague, known to some as the “Golden City” or “City of a hundred spires”. A fairytale setting, culminating in its Old Town Square with its famous astronomical clock.

It would be a shame to be in Prague without spending a day enjoying the personal care and relaxing experience of the renowned Karlovy Vary spa.
 

The journey changes at our next stop. We go to Brandenburg, where we will tremble to enter Sachsenhausen concentration camp. Afterwards we continue on to Berlin. Arrival at the hotel, dinner and accommodation.

Walking around Berlin brings us face to face with the turbulent history of Germany, and a city which has reinvented itself after the disasters of the war. On the Museum Island we can admire the intact Pergamon altar, and many other treasures.

The Cathedral and the Reichstag, the imperial squares, the remnants of the Berlin Wall and the Brandenburg Gate are a few of the attractions of the city, which is also known for its modern and alternative lifestyle.

Breakfast and transfer to the airport for the flight to Athens. On arrival we will go to the port of Lavrio to begin a cruise of the Greek islands. Dinner and accommodation on the ship.

After sailing through the night we arrive at the port of Istanbul in Turkey. The meeting place of East and West, Istanbul is also the city of the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Süleymaniye Mosque, the Grand Bazaar and the majestic Topkapi Palace. Dinner and accommodation on the ship.

Kusadasi is Turkish for Bird Island. An enchanting stop on this relaxing cruise, where you can peruse its endless array of shops. You will love the crafts, rugs, leather goods, shoes and textiles.
 

Arrival at Santorini, one of the jewels of the Cyclades. Unlike all the islands of the Aegean, with a wild beauty all its own. It is crescent shaped, with another set of pretty little islands in the centre, the caldera of a huge underwater volcano. Dinner and accommodation on the ship.

A day combining the beach and culture, from Elounda to Plaka, with the view of the castle on the island of Spinalonga. In Neapoli, 15 km away, there is a small museum of archaeology and folk art. Return to the ship and dinner on board.

We disembark in the port of Rhodes, with free time to visit the island. You can see the ancient Acropolis dedicated to the goddess Athena, a medieval city wall, and beautiful ruins of former Turkish outposts. Night on board ship.

We arrive at the most famous of the Greek islands. Cosmopolitan Mykonos awaits with its little white houses, its fantastic beaches and its vibrant nightlife. Nearby Delos is full of important archaeological sites and a landscape of incomparable beauty.
 

The port of Lavrio welcomes us back again. Transfer to Athens city centre and sightseeing tour of Neoclassical Athens. We will visit the spectacular Acropolis to enjoy the view of the imposing Parthenon. Afternoon: free time.
 

Breakfast then transfer to the airport at the agreed time to take your flight home.
