The Pearl of Africa is what Winston Churchill called Uganda. The country is home to several primate species and the two great apes - Mountain gorillas and Chimpanzees. This trip will bring you face to face with these great apes in the middle of the rainforests i.e. Kibale forest and Bwindi impenetrable forest. In addition, you will have an opportunity to visit Queen Elizabeth national park for great scenery and wildlife including a boat safari on Kazinga channel.

As you arrive at Entebbe international Airport, a representative will be eagerly waiting to receive you and transfer you to your hotel.
Early morning after a breakfast and a short city tour, we leave for Kibale forest. The trip will take you through the countryside arriving at your lodge later that afternoon after a stopover for lunch in the beautiful Fort Portal town.

Today is the day for trekking Chimpanzees in Kibale forest. After an early breakfast, you are transferred for briefing before you start your chimp trek. Your experienced ranger guide will lead you through the tropical forest for an unforgettable and rewarding experience in search of man’s closest relatives, the Chimpanzees. After lunch, take a swamp walk in Bigodi community – proceeds from this help in community development.

After a restful night, today we journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park passing through Crater lakes region (depending on road condition) and enjoying views of the Rwenzori mountain ranges. You will arrive in time for lunch at your lodge.

We leave for a game drive after an early breakfast with focus on the predators before they go back into hiding. The car is customized for game viewing, enjoy the exotic and rare species which include Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Buffaloes, and Uganda Kobs etc. In the afternoon take boat safari on Kazinga Channel – towards Lake Edward with different animals on its banks and beautiful species of birds.

After a wonderful game drive and boat ride, today we transfer to the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth national park known as Ishasha, which is famous for the tree-climbing lions. The prides of lions in this area climb fig trees. Along the lions is a rich bird life and other mammals.

Bwindi here we come! After the visit to Ishasha, we leave for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – the home to half the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Bwindi impenetrable forest is a UNESCO World Heritage Site hosting numerous tree species, birdlife, primates, mammals, insects etc.

These gorillas are amazing creatures, with so much energy yet gentle therefore commonly known as the gentle giants of Bwindi. The gorilla trek can take anything from 1 hour to several hours depending on where they nested the previous night. Once you locate the gorillas with help of your guide and trackers, you are allowed to stay with them for only one hour.

Lake Mburo National Park is the smallest savannah national park in Uganda and a good place to relax after the experience with the massive mountain gorillas. Arrive in the park that afternoon and take a boat trip on Lake Mburo.

You start the journey to Kampala/Entebbe with a stopover at the Equator where you shall get an opportunity to shop, take photos on both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.
