Private tour of the marvels of southern Morocco

Arrival and greetings at Marrakech airport. Transfer to the riad, overnight and dinner at leisure.

We’ll set off heading south with our 4x4s. Our destination are the Atlante’s mountains.  

We’ll follow one of the most beautiful roads in the world, the Tizi N’Tichka. After a pass we’ll take a detour to visit Ait Ben Haddou, part of the UNESCO heritage. One of the best preserved fortified cities, which has been used a set for many kolossal films such as Alexander, The Gladiator, the Jewel of the Nile and many more. After a short stop we’ll leave for the Dràà valley to arrive in the late afternoon at Zagora, also known as the “door of the desert”. Overnight and dinner in a typical riad.

Passing through a more and more desertic landscape we arrive at Mhamid where a we’ll start to follow a track flanked by tamarinds and acacias that will lead us to the centuries old dunes of Chegaga. A mint tea served in silver tea pots served in a spectacular fashion, the colors and perfumes of the sand will be our companions ‘till the sunset.

Overnight and dinner in a fixed berber tented camp in tents with bed, mattresses, linens, toilets and camp showers. The dinner will be served in a big tent.

Early in the morning we’ll wake up to enjoy the beautiful colors that only these lands can offer and we’ll leave for the north, passing near Zagora on our way to the Jebel Sarhro. The route will pass through small villages that will enable us to experience the real Morocco. We’ll get to the village of NKob in a real riad, built in the traditional way using straw and mud. Dinner in a typical local restaurant.

… you’ll tell us your opinion at the end of day regarding this day. Todays track will climb to more than 2000 mt with unforgettable sceneries. Out of time villages that are in a dimension lightyears far from our our lifestyles and that will stay in your hearts forever. This beautiful and unknown track will take us to the Bab n’Ali (Alì’s door), where pinnacles from old volcanoes will create an amazing scenery.

We’ll go on to Tinherir with it’s beautiful gardens and dates palms is renowned for it’s goldsmiths, the fortified buildings and a palace in ruins. We’ll traverse the Jebel Sarhro a vulcanic massif that, from it’s high peaks, will make us dream while looking at lavic rocks that reminds the organ pipes. After 70km of “boring” streets we’ll be at Boumalne to spend an unforgettable night in a beautiful traditional hotel.

Without any doubt two of the symbols of the beauties of Morocco. Two valleys have been digged by two rivers that we’ll link through a hard track that will rise above 2000 meters while the sheperds will look on their flocks. The road flows for kilometers in the rivers’ bed, “inside” red rocks modelled by centuries into soft shapes. The blue sky will look like our finish line. Dinner and overnight in riad.

We’ll set off to Ouarzazate, we’ll stop at Skoura to visit one the best Kasbah in the world, which is also printed on some banknotes. The road that we are following is called the “road of the thousand kasbahs” or also the “valley of the roses” because of the farming and processing of this symbol of love.

Today we’ll take the road to Marrakech where we will arrive at lunch time. In the afternoon you’ll have the chance to visit the Medina and the Jamaa El Fna square. Dinner with live show in an historical palace of the city. Overnight in hotel.

After breakfast, free time and transfer to the airport to catch the flight home
