EASY OPTIONS

Pa’Rus Trail – This paved 3.5-mile trail casually winds along the banks of the Virgin River, starting at the South Campground, passing the Visitor’s Center, and continuing all the way to Canyon Junction.

Court of the Patriarchs – Deep in the Zion valley, this short paved path gives you beautiful views of the Three Patriarchs, rock formations towering over the trail.

Canyon Overlook Trail – A scenic drive through the amazing Zion-Mt. Carmel Tunnel to the east side of the park is a must during your stay here!

Weeping Rock – A short .5 mile, paved trail to a beautiful natural spring where water drips from the crevices of an overhanging rock, creating a garden of maidenhair fern. This is the start to the Observation Point hike as well.

MODERATE OPTIONS

The Narrows – After hiking along the 1.1-mile Riverside walk, a paved and dirt path that follows the Virgin River upstream from the Temple of Sinawava, this trail drops hikers into the chilly waters of the Virgin River where they can continue wading in the creek, moving upstream as far as 1.5 miles.

Emerald Pools – There first mile of this trail is paved and casual, leading to the lower Emerald Pool and waterfall. We can continue another mile along a sandy and rocky trail that climbs to the upper pool at the base of a cliff, returning the same way. Some drop-offs exist on this route.

Watchman Trail – This moderate 3.3-mile trail is an excellent introduction to Zion, making its way through shady trees out onto an overlook where we can see rock formations such as The Watchman and Towers of the Virgin.
