Here are the highlights of your tailormade trip and vacation:
Upon arrival in Cape Town, the ‘Mother City’, you will be met by a guide and transferred to your hotel. Check in and enjoy the first two days at leisure, exploring the beautiful Cape. Perched between the ocean and an imposing Table Mountain, Cape Town offers natural beauty coupled with a diverse range of attractions, sights and activities on offer – from the vibrant V&A Waterfront, to the beautiful Cape Dutch homesteads, the landmark beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay, to the award-winning wine farms in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens (internationally acclaimed as one of the great botanical gardens of the world) – and so much more.
You will never be bored in Cape Town; time spent here will never be forgotten. Overnight 2 nights at the Premier Hotel Cape Manor in a Standard Room. Motorbike delivered on Day 2 to hotel. Breakfast included.
After breakfast at your hotel, depart for the Cape Winelands, an area filled with rolling hills, fertile valleys, Cape Dutch homesteads, grand heritage with historical charm, culture, sumptuous restaurants, breathtaking scenery and award-winning wines. Overnight at Bonne Esperance Guest Lodge in a Standard Guest Room. Breakfast included.
Depart for the Ostrich Capital of the World: Oudtshoorn. We suggest to travel the scenic Route 62 (also known as the Mountain Route), that offers a scenic journey of ever-changing colours of majestic mountains, scenic passes, towering cliffs, crystal-clear streams and an abundance of trees and indigenous flora. This route will take you along the longest wine route in the Western Cape and most likely the whole world! Overnight at Montana Guest Farm in an Aloe / Pepper Suite room. Breakfast included.
Depart Oudtshoorn for the Eastern Cape. Staying on Route 62, we continue towards the Eastern Cape, an interesting place where some of the country’s most powerful political figures, like Steve Biko and Nelson Mandela, were born. Enjoy an easy ride through straight roads and short passes, until we reach Willomore. Overnight at The Willow Historical Guesthouse in a Standard Room. Breakfast included.
Depart Willomore for the Addo Elephant National Park. Departing Willomore, there are a number of routings to take to Addo National Park, all scenic and easy riding. Addo Elephant Park, set in the Sundays River Valley and Zuurberg Mountain Range just 72km from Port Elizabeth, is the third largest national park in South Africa and home to more than 550 elephants as well as lion, buffalo, black rhino, spotted hyena, leopard and more. The biodiverse area boasts prolific birdlife (more than 450 species spotted) and is a paradise for nature lovers.
The range of accommodation available in the park stretches from camping and caravan sites to chalets and cabins to luxury guesthouses. The main Addo Elephant Camp has chalet accommodation and plenty of activities, including for children, in the close surrounds. The waterhole lookout point is floodlit at night and the underground hide offers plenty of opportunity for close-up wildlife encounters. There is a swimming pool, picnic and barbeque area as well as a shop for basic supplies and curios. The à la carte restaurant on site caters for all meals. Overnight 2 nights at Addo Main Rest Camp in a Standard Cottage.
Departing Addo, you head down the Garden Route onto Tsitsikamma, a Khoi word meaning ‘place of abundant or sparkling water’, a place bordered on the north by the majestic Tsitsikamma Mountains and in the south by the Indian Ocean, absolutely breathtaking in its natural beauty with an 80km stretch of coastline and Tsitsikamma forest – an area of meandering streams, rivers, gushing waterfalls, crystal-clear pools and protected indigenous forests that bear ancient trees like yellowwood, hard pear, stinkwood, and ironwood, fynbos covered landscape and the appearance of entrancing animals and birds, like the shy Knysna loerie.
