The hotel is located close to the plaza and other attractions. The grounds are very nice. Zorro was supposedly born in a room that later became part of the hotel. The Zorro show at dinner is quite fun. There is little to do in El Fuerte. There is no air conditioned dining area. The bed was more comfortable than most in Mexico
