Sancti Spíritus

Sancti Spíritus is a cuban town, the capital city of the namesake province located in the centre of the island.

Sancti Spíritus was founded by the spanish conquistador Diego Velázquez de Cuéllar in 1514. The city has been able to preserve its typical colonial style until our days.

The heart of the business activities and of the town life is located in the main square, Parque Serafin Sanchez. The square is surrounded by beautiful Neoclassic buildings.

The major points of interest are: the Museo de Historia Natural, the Iglesia Parroquial Mayor del Espiritu Santo, a little yellow town church made of rocks in the typical baroque style and the Museo de Arte Colonial, that hosts a wide collection of refined furniture.
