Cayo Santa Maria
Cayo Santa Maria is an island located to the north of the island of Cuba, in the Bahia de Buena Vista. The island is linked to Cuba through a bridge and a road that arrives in Caibarién. Belonging to the "Jardines del Rey", an archipelago with more than 80 species of animals and flowers, and considered among the beauties protected by UNESCO, Cayo Santa Maria is famous for its white and sandy beaches and luxurious all-inclusive resort. The sea in Cayo Santa Maria is often rough, with high waves and for this reason it is not unusual to see the red flags waving on the beaches.
