Thailand and Cambodia tailormade tour
The trip will make you dream with your eyes open and make you discover local populations and their traditions, in between to nations so close and yet so different.
Arrival in Bangkok, the lively capital city of Thailand. Beyond its dynamism and its extroverted side, it also provides a quieter part, where it is possible to enjoy bicycle rides, boat trips, and try cookery classes. Furthermore, Bangkok is famous and fantastic for its shopping possibilities and spa treatments.
Meeting at Bangkok International airport, transfer to the hotel and check-in. Free time during the evening and overnight in a hotel.
Today you'll visit all the main sights of this city, starting off from the Royal Palace, continuing to the most important temples such as Wat Pho with the reclining Buddha or Wat Traimith, with its Buddha weighing 5500 kg. End the day with a tour of Chinatown, the soul of the city.
When we talk about the Bangkok markets, they are thought to be in the city, but no, they are quite out of Bangkok and it takes two hours to reach the area of interest. On the way back you will take a detour to visit the tallest stupa in Thailand, located in Nakohn Pathom, the cradle of Buddhism in Thailand, west of Bangkok and north of the markets, an unforgettable visit.
Today you'll visit some less "conventional" temples, surely not less interesting than the previous ones. Each temples has its own unique features: Banteay Srei is made in pink sandstone, Preah Khan Temple is one of the largest, Neak Pean is built on an artificial island and Phnom Bakheng is a temple dedicated to Shiva from which you can admire the view of Angkor Wat complex.
Unmissable visit to Battambang, a province not far from Siem Reap which holds gems, heritage and beautiful landscapes. Bamboo Train (a picturesque ride on abandoned railway tracks), Banan Temple, Killing Cave and milions of bats are the highlights of this province. Dinner at the hotel.
Visit the ancient canals in Bangkok with a special tourist guide from the sailing company and your guide. A small eco-friendly boat will take you to the old canals to discover markets, orchid plantations, wooden houses of artists and much more. You'll have lunch in a local market (included) along the canal.
In due time you will be transferred by minivan to the airport.
