Vulcano

Vulcano is a small sicilian island in the Tyrrhenian Sea.

The ancient greek mythology told that the island was the private workshop of Hephaestus, protector of the blacksmiths; as well as the Romans thought, it was the chimney of the fire god Vulcano's workshop. Nowadays the island is well known for its therapeutic mud baths and hot springs, that represent the main attractions.

During your trip on Vulcano it is possible to enjoy the dark beaches, like the Spiaggia Sabbia Nera, on the western side of the peninsula, with an amazing crystal clear sea or discover some typical locations, as Gelso, where is situated a suggestive port. Or learn more about the volcanoes, walking till the top of the promontory, to admire the sight of the crater.
