The Deccan Odyssey is not just a luxury train, but it is a real travel experience in India. It has no similar thanks to the high level of services offered on board and the care and refined service.

It features: 21 carriages, capable of accommodating a total of 104 people, 52 cabins, 4 suites, dining rooms, a bar, a library, a conference room and even a little Spa.

An assistant is always available to take care of all your travel needs.

In the living carriage a communal lounge allows you to relax, interact and make new friends.

Two luxury restaurants are available. The Peshwa I and II, where you can taste a range of exotic dishes to choose between different cuisines.

The Deccan Odyssey is an exclusively non-smoking train, but it was still left a wagon available for guests who like to smoke.

    Mumbai - Sindhudurg
    Day 1

    Meeting at 4.40 pm at the station Chatrapati Shivaj of Mumbai and departure on board of the train Deccan Odyssey for a trip through the Deccan region. Your first stop will be Sindhudurg.

    Breakfast on board.

    Arrival at the station towards 07:30 am.
    Boat tour of the fort of Sindhudurg, one of the most famous due to its structure, built in the 16th century by the Marathas.
    After the visit, transfer to Takarli Beach Resort for a break of relaxation and fun.
    At about 12.00 pm the lunch will be served.
    Later, we will visit the ancient site of Dhamapur, characterized by temples on the lake and then we will stop at a cultivation of cashew nuts.
    In the last hours of the afternoon we will transfer to the station of Kudal to continue our train trip to Goa.

    After breakfast, arrival at the Karmali station of Goa.

    Visit of the medieval churches of this city, including the Basilica of Good Jesus, the Cathedral and the Church of Saint Francis of Assisi.
    Return to the train for having lunch and free time.
    In the late afternoon there will be a music performance at the beach of one of the resort of Goa.

    Visiting to the Sahakari Spice Farm. It is one of the largest farms of spices in India, and the Menezes Braganza House, an old residence of the Portuguese period where the exceptional guide will be the octogenarian Lady Braganza.

    Departure for the visit of the city, whose greatest treasures are the New Palace and the Shalini Palace.
    There will be a demonstration of Mardaani Khel, an ancient martial art practiced in this region.
    Our visiting will end with the temples of Mahalaxmi and Bhawani Mandap.

    Breakfast.

    Arrival in the morning in the city of Daulatabad, one of the most popular locations of the region to have been the capital during the Tughlaq Dynasty.
    You will visit the Fort and Ellora Caves.
    Lunch on the train and, after a break we will carry on with a visiting of the city: the focus of the our sightseeing will be the Bibi Ka Maqbara which is a replica of the Taj Mahal in Agra.
    We will also visit some local shops to have shopping.

    Breakfast.

    Arrival at the station of Bhusawal in order to continue with the visiting of the Ajanta caves, where you can see some examples of Buddhist religious art.
    Back to the train and lunch on board.
    Departure for Nashik, where you will visit the Panchawati Ghat and Kala Ram Temple.
    Return to the station of Deolali to leave to Mumbai.
