Situated at an altitude of 4300m, the Annapurna base camp is considered to be a natural amphitheater as it is surrounded all around by the different peaks of Annapurna range namely: Annapurna South, Annapurna 1st, Machhapuchhre and Barashshikhar. The Annapurna base camp can be reached by passing throughforests of bamboo and rhododendron. The route to Ghorepani and Annapurna sanctuary starts from Birethanti, and as you trek upward ahead you will encounter on the way the beautiful Gurung villages of Ghandrung, Chhomrong, Dhampus and the rural communities of Modi Khola.
In the course of these 14 days long trekking you will observe with enthusiasm the lifestyle of the farmers dedicating to make their lands fertile.
Welcome to Kathmandu. Once you reach the airport in Kathmandu, you will bereceived by our representative who will help you with the transfer to the hotel on a private car or a bus. After checking into your hotel, you can rest or start to explore the city at leisure.
Begin your sightseeing tour from the hotel after breakfast at around 8:30 am. You will travel on a private vehicle with a professional tour guide for the tour. You will start your sightseeing tour from the largest Hindu temple called Pashupatinath, then visit Bouddhanath and Swoyambhunath (the Monkey temple).
At the end of the day, you will visit Durbar Square and then drive back to the hotel to attend a short briefing about the trek.
Your trekking guide will meet you at 6.00 AM in the morning and take you to the Tourist Bus Station. You will enjoy traveling alongside the Trisuli and Marshyangdi rivers and be passing by beautiful sceneries and rural villages on the way. Upon arrival at the Pokhara, we will check into our hotel, freshen up, then your guide will take you boating on Phewa Lake and enjoy a little walking around the Phewa Lake.
One hour drive to Nayapul by private bus we then begin trek to Tikhedhunga.We begin our trek from Nayapul, driving to the road head. After 15- minutes short walk along the bank of the Modi Khola, we reach Birethanti (1065m) a large village that has many shops and teahouses. The trail continues through the village. The trail follows the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola. We then climb steadily up the side of the valley to Hille at 1495m and Tikhedhunga at 1525m. Leaving Tikhedunga, we begin our journey with a steep climb to Ulleri. Ulleri is a large Magar village at 2200m.
The trail continues to ascend more gently, through fine forests of oak and rhododendron towards Banthanti at 2250m. Then we make our trek towards Nangethanti at 2460m. After an hour walk brings you to Ghorepani at 2775m.
This morning, we will get up early in the morning, and go for hiking to Poon Hill. From here you will see superb view of sunrise, and panoramic view of Himalayas, including Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Fishtail, and many others. After visiting Poonhill, we will come back to Ghorepani, have a hot breakfast, and continue walking to Ghandruk. We take a lunch at Banthanti or Tadapani.
Today, we go downhill for 2 hours. We will cross a small stream and then gradually climb to the Gurung settlement of Gurjung. We will reach Chhomrong and take a rest for the rest of the day. Chhomrong is a bigger settlement of the Gurung community. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Observing a morning view from Chomrong, we continue our trekking to get to Himalaya via Bamboo and Dovan. Today's walking is completely different as we walk though a deep gorge and on the banks of the Modi river. Today, you will hear the noise of Modi river and the birds on the background while walking and that will concentrate your mind. You will have a chance to see some wildlife including monkeys and Himalayan goats.
Today, we trek towards our final destination Annapurna Base Camp. You will be overwhelmed by the scenic beauty being surrounded by the snow -capped mountains. In the afternoon, your guide will take you for a close view of the Annapurna I (8091m), where you will see Annapurna glacier. Annapurna South997200m), Hiun Chuli(6444m) and Fishtail (6793m) and Annapurna III will be standing on your back.
We will wake up early in the morning and see the magnificent sun rise view. You will have a chance to take photos while sun rays hitting the Himalayas. By that time, breakfast will be ready. We will then return to Bamboo hiking all the way downhill. You will lose almost 2000 meters in 6-7 hours when you reach Bamboo.
Leaving Bamboo behind, we climb for 30 minutes to reach Khuldighar where the experimental sheep farm is. From here, the trail is gradual up first then flat and downhill until we arrive Sinuwa. We trek downhill again and after crossing over the Chhomrong Khola uphill to up to Chhomrong village. From Chhomrong, the trail descends very steeply for 1 hour to the village of Jhinu. We drop our bags here to go for taking a bath on the hot springs descending to Modi Khola river.
Today is the last day of trekking. Leaving Jhinu, we firstly descend, cross the river and follow the flat all the way to Birethanti then returning to Nayapul. Here our vehicle will be waiting to drive us back to Pokhara. We check into our hotel and your Happy Hour starts thereafter. 6 hours and 1 - hour drive.
After breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu. It will be an upward journey along a winding road. Leisure day in Kathmandu. Perhaps go for some last minute shopping and celebrate dinner together with us. Breakfast and farewell dinner included, accommodation in hotel or homestay.
Our representative will transfer you to the airport from where you will catch your flight.

Footwear
Well broken-in walking shoes, thick socks, light socks, camp shoes.

Down or fiber filled waterproof jacket and trousers, sweater or fleece jacket, underwear, warm and cotton trousers or jeans, shirts and T-shirts, shorts, long underwear, wool hat, sun hat, gloves, bathing suit, track suit.

Sleeping bag (4 seasons), trekking holdall or stash sack with lock, daypack, water bottle, sun cream, sunglasses, flashlight with spare bulbs and batteries, lip salve.
