Lefkada
Lefkada is a greek island located in the Ionian Sea.
The landscape is characterized by beautiful beaches and emerald green sea surrounded by pine forested mountains and lush valleys. The vegetation is mostly composed by olive tree and cypresses. The typical villages with their houses built on the slop design a unique and picturesque panorama.
In Lefkada, the capital town, is set the Venetian castle of Agia Mavra, and the famous churches of Agios Spyridonas, Agios Minas and Virgin Mary's. A worth-seeing stop is the Archaeological Museum, here you can see ceramics and tools from the Early Helladic period.
The most beautiful beach are: Kathisma beach, a white sand beach with crystal clear water, here the landscape is amazing, it seems an exotic coast, Athani beach, a wonderful, pure and uncontaminated beach. The activities on the island are different and many; it offers everything you want from sailing, windsurfing, scuba-diving or moreover walking, cycling or visiting archaeological site.
Lefkada is capable of seducing even the most restrained visitor.
