Chad is a country in Africa, with N'Djamena as a capital city.
Chad is a landlocked country located in the Central Africa. Its name comes from the lake flowing through its territory, it is the second largest lake of the continent.
Chad is characterized by four main geographical regions: in the North there is the Sahara Desert, in the center wide plains, in the West mountain ranges and rainforests in the South. The landscapes have different types of flora and fauna because of different weather conditions inside the country, although the climate is generally characterized by high temperatures.
The natural beauties are preserved by national parks, natural reserves and protected areas. The most important and popular ones are Zakouma National Park, a wide plain cut by the Bahr Salamat River, Manda National Park, which hosts a wooded savanna and Chari river, where many wild animals live, and the Archeï gorges, where you can usually meet Tébu nomads with their herds of camels, moreover these gorges boast evidence of the ancient cave art belonging to the primitive populations.
Beyond the natural beauties, Chad also has fascinating cities worthy of being visited. First of all the capital city, N'djamena. It still preserves the charm of the old African colonial cities. It boasts several and lively markets where it is possible to buy products of the local handicrafts. In addition, along the streets there are live-music performances. Finally Moundou represents the economical heart of the country.
The main source of the country is the cultivation and commercialization of the local agriculture products, as cereals, cotton, rice, vegetable, fruit and sugar cane. Only in the last years the tourist sector has started to develop.
Chad is almost entirely as a wild country, rich in wonders, all to be discovered.
