Salar de Uyuni (or Salar de Tunupa) is the world's largest salt flat at 10,582 square kilometers (4,086 sq mi). It is located in the Potosí and Oruro departments in southwest Bolivia, near the crest of the Andes and is at an elevation of 3,656 meters (11,995 ft) above mean sea level. The Salar was formed as a result of transformations between several prehistoric lakes. It is covered by a few meters of salt crust, which has an extraordinary flatness with the average altitude variations within one meter over the entire area of the Salar. It contains 50 to 70% of the world's lithium reserves.

The Salar serves as the major transport route across the Bolivian Altiplano and is a major breeding ground for several species of pink flamingos.

    Villazon
    Day 1

    Meet with your guide in Villazon and take a private transfer to Tupiza. Accommodation in Mitru Hotel (or Similar). You will have the rest of the day free. Dinner included.

    Colchani
    Day 2

    After breakfast, departure towards Uyuni, visiting Tupiza surroundings on the way. Lunch will be served during the trip. Continue passing by Atocha Mine Center, until reaching Colchani, where we will be hosted at Palacio de Sal Hotel. It is the first hotel in the world made entirely of salt. After dinner, go on a night sightseeing tour to watch the stars at one of the clearest skies in the world.

    Salar de Uyuni
    Day 3

    Breakfast. Departure to the Uyuni Great Salt Flat, visiting on the way the town of Colchani, where we will visit a traditional salt processing plant. Continue to see the eyes of water. Cross to the Isla Incahuasi (known as Fish Island) where you can see the famous Giant cactus. Lunch will be served in the middle of the salar. Next, go to Mallku Cueva Villamar village, arrival and accommodation in our Hotel Jardines. Dinner included

    Hito Cajon
    Day 4

    Breakfast. Departure to Laguna Colorada where you can appreciate the famous "James Flamencos" unique of its kind in the world, as well as the perennial ice, in addition you can appreciate the change of tones in the lagoon until it reaches its red color. Tour of the famous Sun Geysers of Tomorrow and continue to Laguna Verde passing through the hot springs of Chalviri and the Valley of Dalí. Visit to Laguna Verde on the banks of the Llicancahur Volcano. At convenient time transfer
    to Hito Cajón.
