Kibale

Kibale National Park is located in western Uganda, Africa, and it includes several diverse habitats, ranging from rainforest to prairies and swamps. The park is famous for being home to the largest variety of primates in Eastern Africa, with its 13 species living peacefully together with several species of birds and butterflies. For all of these reasons, University of Makarere built its research station here. The park was founded in 1993 to protect an area that had been already declared reserved forest in 1932.
