Champasak

Champasak is a province of western Laos, in southeast Asia.

Its landscape is characterized by the plain of Mekong. The city is well known thanks to the series of Khmer ruins, that are part in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

One of the most renowned temples is the Vat Phou, whose name means "Mountain Temple", because it is set on the east slope of the Kao mount.
