Tour of Bellagio and Varenna with dinner on Lake Como, departure from Milan

Meeting in Milan at 3 pm and departure by private van/bus for Bellagio.
Bellagio, known as "the Pearl of Lake Como", is one of the most famous and romantic localities of Como and its surroundings. Its enchanting location, together with its elegant hotels and picturesque alleys attract every year many tourists coming from all the world.

The first gem to be visited is the XIX century Villa Melzi, reachable in 10 minutes on foot from the jetty. Before reaching the villa, we have to walk along a tree-line boulevard, at the shadow of umbrella-shaped planes. Once arrived at the large terrace in front of the mansion, it is possible to admire the landscape and the architectural harmony of the building, reachable through a scenographic staircase. The visit of the park meets both artistic and panoramic interests. It was designed around 1808 - 1810 by architect Luigi Canonica and botanist Luigi Villoresi, it is studded by colorful flowers, plants and trees, exotic essences, typical of the taste of that time. The part resembling an Oriental garden with a water lily pond is really charming, and particularly evocative during the autumn season.

At the end of the visit, around 6.30 pm, enjoy free time to stroll and discover the center of Bellagio.

At 7 pm meeting and departure by ferry for Varenna. This hamlet and its colorful houses are located at the foot of a rock wall, on whose peak is Vezio Castle. From the jetty moving to the right-side of the lake, it is possible to enjoy the "Lovers' walk", which takes to the center of the village.

 

After a short stroll, around 8.15 pm, we'll enjoy dinner at one of the many restaurants at the lakefront, enchanting by a breathtaking view.

At the end of the dinner free time to discover the beauties of this amazing hamlet. Departure for Milan at 10 pm, arrival around 11 pm.
