Astypalaia

Astypalaia is a greek island belonging to the Dodecanese island group. The island is naturally separated into two parts: Mesa Nisi and Exo Nisi by a narrow stripe of land.

Astypalaia is surrounded by a large number of small pebble beaches. The most beautiful beaches are: Kaminakia, a long and sandy beach with turquoise sea, here you can find two traditional tavern, and Vatses, a pebbles and sandy beach, here you can enjoy the essence of the nature.

Not-to-miss place is the capital city Chora, where is set the Venetian Castle, at the top of the hill, the church of Panagia of Castro, the church of Agios Giorgios and the Astypalaia Archaeological Museum, the museum contains items from the prehistoric period to medieval times.
