Entebbe

Entebbe is a city in Uganda, Africa, situated on a peninsula of the northern shore of Lake Victoria and is home to the President's residence. The largest airport in Uganda, Entebbe International Airport, is situated here. The word "entebbe" in the Iuganda language means "seat", probably referring to the ancient seat of of a court presided by a Baganda chief. Thanks to its position next to the Equator and its altitude, the city has an excellente climate, warm all throughout the year, which makes it the perfect destination for tourists from all around the globe. The main places of interest are the National Botanical Gardens, Uganda Virus Research Institute, Uganda Wildlife Education Center, Nkumba University and the State House where the president lives.
