Cuba is an exotic, lively, colorful island: between the colorful cities and the tropical white sand beaches, one cannot help but fall in love with this incredible country.
Havana's architecture
Discover the incredible contrast between the vivid colors of the colonial architecture and the blue ocean. The Havana is the capital of Cuba and it’s the ideal starting point for a tour discovering this magnificent island.
The list of the attractions in Havana is very long, among the most important you can find:
Bodeguita del Medio – The restaurant/bar loved by Hemingway
Museo de la Revolución – located in the presidential palace that was used before Castro it shows the life at the times of the revolution. The palace in it’s own deserves a visit for the architecture and for the spectacular interiors.
Bacardi Palace - It’s one of the most recognisable monuments of Cuba thanks to the art decò tower. From the summit of the tower you’ll be able to enjoy an amazing 360° view of the capital.
El Capitolio – this huge building is one of the other architectural symbols of the Havana.
Rum, cigars and mojito
Cuba is the ideal place to enjoy some treats.
The famous Cuban cigars can be buought directly in Havana, where all the most important producers can be found (it’s better not to buy the cigars in the factories as the prices are generally higher). Cohiba (the preferred of Fidel Castro), Montecristo (loved by Che Guevara), Bolivar and H. Upmann are just some of the brands that you’ll be able to buy in the capital.
A visit to the tobacco plantations is strongly recommended, there you’ll be able to see the creation of a cigar in front of you.
The perfect companion of cigar is rum, another typical product of this caribbean island.
You don’t have to miss a visit to the Museum of Rhum in Havana and some sipps of the local cocktails, in the most famous bars, the “Bodeguita del Medio” and the “Floridita”, which both deserves a visit and in some small and less known places as “El Cocinero” or “El Polvorin“.
Trinidad
This small town, included in the UNESCO World Heritage, is among the most important stages on a tour of Cuba. The low and colourful houses, the small streets and the many sights that you’ll be able to see from the highest palaces (we recommend a visit to the Museo Historico Provincial) will leave you incredible memories of this amazing Caribbean place.
Camagüey
Bigger than Trinidad but also part of the UNESCO World Heritage, Camagüey is a city in the inner part of Cuba, famous for it’s small streets (the smallest is wide just 2 metres and 77 long), for the jars (a typical production of the place) and for the colonial architecture.
Unspoilt nature
Thanks to the american embargo Cuba has known a slower development than many of the other caribbean destinations, this has blocked the mass tourism from colonizing many areas of the island that can still show off an immaculate and surprising nature.
Take a guided tour of the most unknown bays, the waterfalls, the forests and the swamps ruled by the cuban crocodile, the only crocodile that can jump outside of water.
