Udaipur

Udaipur, the main city of the district with the same name, is a historic and cultural city in Rajasthan, one of the most beautiful and visited in the region. It's also known as the City of Lakes, because of the three artificial lakes sorrounding it, Lake Pichola, Lake Fateh and Lake Swaroop. It's located on the shores of Lake Pichola, in whose waters majestic elegant buildings are reflected. These include the fabolous Lake Palace, a popular movie set. The city is certainly one of the most charming and romantic in the world and is often called the Venice of the East.
