Breakfast - Picnic lunch
You'll begin your trip by visiting the Perfume Pagoda, situated 60 km south-west of Hanoi. Enjoy a one-hour boat ride along Yen river through ricefields, then reach the pagoda. From here you'll follow the ancient paths to explore the more important pagoda of Thien Tru dating back to the 17th century. Continue for 4 km and reach Huong Tich mountain and its pagoda on top. Return to Hanoi for personal activities. Overnight in hotel in Hanoi.
Morning dedicated to visiting Ho Chi Minh mausoleum and the Temple of Literature. In the afternoon visit the Ethnologic Museum and enjoy an exhilarating cyclo ride in the historic district. Free time for shopping in the old district till the transfer to the station for a night train journey to Lao Cai. Air cabin (4 people/cabin).
In the morning you'll arrive at Lao Cai station. Bus transfer to Sapa. After breakfast in a local restaurant you'll travel by car to Lao Chai village where you can admire the H'mong minority wearing traditional clothes. Continue to Ta Van, the village of the Zay minority. In the afternoon visit Ham Rong mountain where you can admire the magnificent panorama of the lively city, with the chance to take beautiful pictures. Return to Sapa and free time for shopping at the local market and to visit the Cathedral. Overnight in the hotel.
In the morning depart to Bac Ha market. This Sunday market is attended by many ethnic groups, such as H'Mong, Tay and San Chi minorities. A real colorful sight and a treat for photographers. In the afternoon visit the ethnic villages of Ban Pho and Na Hoi. Travel by night train from Lao Cai station to Hanoi.
(Due to dates, if you are not able to visit Bac Ha market on a Sunday, you will visit Coc Ly market on Tuesday, Cao Son market on Wednesday, Lung Khau Nhin on Thursday and Can Cau market on Satrurday).
Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner
The train arrives in Hanoi early in the morning and in time for breakfast and some relax. Morning departure to Halong Bay. You'll pass the rich farms of the Red River Delta. Once at Halong pier, you'll board for a cruise among the beautiful islands emerging from the tranquil emerald sea. Seafood-based lunch and exploration of the Surprise Cave, one of the most beautiful grottoes in the bay. Sunset, dinner and overnight on the junk.

In the morning coffee and tea will be served on the terrace after a Tai Chi class, while we continue exploring splendid Halong Bay and the floating village. Lunch with Vietnamese and western cuisine. Once we have left the junk, you will be transferred to the airport to fly to Danang. En route visit a pottery village, famous for its wooden sculptures. Arrive in Hanoi and overnight in a hotel.
The day will dedicated to visiting Hoi An, admiring the Japanese Bridge, Phuoc Kien Pagoda, the ancient Tran Phu residence and Hoi An museum. Walk through the old city sorrounded by local atmosphere. Overnight in a Hoi An hotel.
This morning visit Vietnam Cham Museum and Marble mountain. After crossing spectacular Hai Van Pass you'll reach Hue, where you can see the Forbidden Citadel and enjoy a cruise on Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda. The rest of the time is free to explore the crowded Dong Ba market, where you can negotiate for anything, from souvenirs to artefacts. Overnight in a hotel.
Today we will continue discovering Hue visiting the Tombs of emperors Minh Mang and Tu Duc. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Dinner in a local restaurant and hotel overnight.
The day is dedicated to the discovery of Ho Chi Minh city: War Museum, Palace of Reunification, Notre Dame Cathedral and Central Post Office. In the afternoon visit Thien Hau Pagoda and Chinese Cho Lon market, Explore Dong Khoi street with the fashion boutiques selling clothes and accessories designed by the Vietnamese. The atmosphere in Ho Chi Minh by night is really unmissable.
Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner
This morning you will head to Mekong Delta and the floating market, then take a cruise along the endless canals of the Mekong. You'll stop at an old house in the south and visit some local factories producing candies. Lunch. Arrive at Hoa Kanh village and enjoy a bike ride along the river bank. Continue with the visit to an old house owned by a local villager, where you'll stay the night. Free time to immerse in the local atmosphere or try and fish. Dinner and overnight in a local house.
After breakfast with the host family, you will take a boat ride to see Cai Be floating market. Continue through the maze of canals and visit the lively garden of Tam Ho where you can taste tropical fruit with lunch in a local restaurant before returning to Ho Chi Minh. Visit Ben Thanh market, the oldest and most crowded market of Vietnam.
Free time till the transfer to the airport for the international flight.
