    Bangkok is the capital city of Thailand, it boasts several facets. On one hand it appears as a lively and bustling city, but on the other one it can also seem a quiet town, where it is possible and pleasant to take bicycle rides, boat trips, and try cookery classes. Bangkok is a dream destination also for shopping and spa treatments.

    Breakfast at the hotel. Today you'll enjoy a tour of the city. First of all, you'll discover the most important and visually stunning temples: Wat Traimit, near Chinatown, hosts the world's biggest solid gold Buddha; Wat Pho, the most ancient temple of Bangkok, where it is possible to admire the wonderful reclining Buddha, as well as the first school of traditional medicine and Thai massage, also known as Thailand’s first university; and Wat Benjamabophit.

    Afterwards, you'll visit the Royal Grand Palace, a "must-see" attraction and Thailand's most important landmark. You will be astonished by the majesty of the building and its throne halls. This place is nowadays used only for particular ceremonial purposes by the Royal Family. Finally, visit the Wat Phra Kaew which is connected to the Grand Palace by a compound and owns the most revered Buddha image in Thailand: the mysterious Emerald Buddha.

    Floating market and Tiger Temple

    Early breakfast and transfer to Ratchaburi Province, about 100 kms from Bangkok, to visit Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. Upon arrival, you'll take a boat ride along the canal to discover the colourful floating marketplace, which is studded by boats and vendors selling tropical fruits and other delights.

    Then, continue to Kanchanaburi for lunch in a local restaurant overlooking the renowned bridge on the River Kwai, constructed by Allied prisoners of war during World War II. Afterwards, you'll visit the Tiger Temple, built in 1994. It is a wildlife sanctuary, in which it is possible to admire several tigers that have been handled from a very early age. They have been hand-raised and imprinted to human. This is why they are able to sleep while people sit next to them for photos. Overnight in Bangkok.

  5. Bangkok - Ayutthaya

    Bangkok - Ayutthaya

    Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Bang Pa-In, the summer palace built by Rama IV. Here it is possible to admire the contrasting palace buildings and surrounding temples inspired by European, Chinese and Thai designs. Visit Wat Niwet Thammaprawat, the temple designed according to the gothic style on the shores of Chao Phraya River. At the end of the visit, board the Thanatharee rice barge to enjoy your private lunch cruise on Chao Phraya River. During the cruise you can enjoy amazing views of Wat Phanan Choeng, the Elephant Kraal Pavilion and discover the local lifestyle on the riverside.

    Disembark at Aor Bor Jor pier and visit the most relevant ruined temples in Ayutthaya historical park: Wat Yai Chai Mongkol, Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, Viharn Phra Mongkol Bophit and Wat Chai Wattanaram. Ayutthaya, surrounded by rivers and canals, was the capital of Siam from 1350 until it was attacked by the Burmese in 1767. Its important remains and ruins have now been declared a World Heritage Site. Overnight stay at Ayutthaya.

  6. Ayutthaya - Sukhothai

    Ayutthaya - Sukhothai

    After breakfast drive to the city of Uthai Thani, located on the western bank of Sakae Krang river. Here you can start your exploration of the city, visiting Wat Sangkat Rattana Khiri and the striking temple Wat Tha Sung. Then, you will take a trip along the Sakrae Krang River on a traditional rice barge, discovering how the life on the water has hardly changed throughout the centuries.

    Lunch on board as you make your way along the river observing the simple way of life and the houses built on bamboo platforms on the water with their floating gardens and fish farms. Later, you'll stop in Phitsanulok where you will visit the riverside temple of Wat Phra Si Ratana Mahathat, which hosts one of the most sacred images of Buddha in all of Thailand, and the Cha Thawee folk museum. Overnight stay at Sukhothai.

    Tour of Sukhothai

    Today you'll enjoy the Sukhothai Historical Park, one of the most important spots during the tour. You'll have the chance to explore the ruins of the first capital of the Kingdom of Siam. It was built during the 13th century, its beautiful buildings marked the beginning of the Thai architecture.

    In the afternoon, after a mouthwatering organic lunch, you can discover something more about the region's rural industry taking part in a rice planting workshop. Wear the distinctive and typical dress and get to grips with the traditional farming methods and practices. Overnight in Sukhothai.

    Sukhothai - Chang Rai

    In the early morning you will make offers of foods to Buddhist monks before returning to the hotel for breakfast. Today you'll enjoy a journey north to the city of Chiang Rai, situated just 37 miles south of the border with Burma. On the way, you'll stop at a pineapple plantation near the town of Lampang before passing through the town of Phayao, which is located on the banks of the namesake lake.

    Upon arrival in Chiang Rai, you'll see the famous Golden Triangle, the point on Mekong river where the nations of Thailand, Burma and Laos meet. Here, you can visit the Opium House and discover something about the region's poppy cultivation. Overnight at Chiang Rai.

    Chiang Rai - Chiang Mai

    This morning you'll visit the two hill tribe villages of Akha and Yao. Then, the tour continues on to Chiang Mai. Upon arrival in the city, you'll head to San Kamphaeng district where it is possible to visit a handicraft centre.

    Dinner in a traditional Thai local with performances of traditional dances and songs belonging to the ancient Thailand and local hilltribes. Overnight at Chiang Mai.

    In the morning drive to the province of Chiang Rai, through valleys and picturesque landscapes you will reach Mae Sai, the northernmost trading border between Thailand and Myanmar. Mae Sai is a lively commercial area, mainly used as a drop-off for those who wish to travel overland to Myanmar.

    After a local lunch, you'll continue to the Golden Triangle. It is one of Asia's two main illicit opium-producing areas 350,000 square kilometers wide and overlapping the mountains of three countries: Myanmar, Laos and Thailand. Here you can get the chance to meet local hilltribe people. Afterwards, visit Chiang Saen, the ancient kingdom opposite Laos, where it is possible to explore ancient ruins and temples. Return to Chiang Mai and overnight.

    After breakfast you'll reach James Bond Island, also called as Phang Nga Bay. The entire area surrounding this island shows spectacular and stunning rocky pinnacles. You will enjoy a buffet lunch in a fishing village on another landmark island called Koh Panyee.

    Then, you'll move to Koh Panak Island for sea canoeing enjoying its wonderful sceneries composed by several caves and lagoons. In the evening you’ll enjoy swimming and relaxing (optionally water sports) at Lawa Island or Naka Island. Return for overnight stay at Phuket.
