Welcome to New Zealand! Meeting at Christchurch Airport with private guide and transfer bu SUV to your accommodation. We begin with a tour around the city: Botanic Garden and Museum, Start Mall, Cathedral Square and Transitional Cathedral (known as Cardboard Cathedral). Transfer to your accommodation. Lunch and dinner are not included.
After breakfast, your private guide will pick you up and take you to Akaroa, a village with a French touch from the early settlers' arrival (the only one in New Zealand). We will travel along the Summit Road with stops to take photographs and at the scenic spots of Diamond Harbor, Sign of the Takahe and Governors Bay.
The road crosses two extinct craters forming Banks Peninsula. You can try the cruise to admire the coast and fauna that live on the coast of Akaroa Peninsula or swim with the world's smallest and rarest dolphins (Hector's Dolphins). In this case you should book the day before (not included in the price).
Another option may be to visit Okains Bay with the museum of the first settlers and the Maori village (not included). Transfer and return to your accommodation in Christchurch. Lunch and dinner are not included.
After breakfast, escorted by your private guide / driver, you will reach the West Coast with its black beaches and wild reefs. There are many interesting places to stop and take photos with trails of dunes, forests and beaches. You will cross Arthur's Pass with small trails to see the falls passing through Castle Hill and its limestone formations. Transfer to your accommodation. Lunch and dinner not included.
After breakfast you will have time to see the processing of Pounamu stone considered precious for the Maori. Take a short walk for about 25 minutes from Hokitika. Other activities available upon reservation include: Whataroa and reserve with white herons (about 2 hours and 30 minutes) or Okarito and kayaks across the lagoon to see flora and fauna.
Arrival in Franz Josef and transfer to your accommodation. Lunch and dinner are not included.
After breakfast you can see the glacier in a helicopter (about 30 minutes) with the opportunity of taking photos and landing on the glacier (book at least the day before). Otherwise you can take a trail of about 1 hour and 30 minutes to see the glacier by the forest and the river.
Continuation to Queenstown passing through Lake Ianthe, Bruce Bay, Gates of Haast, Fantail Falls, Lake Hawea and Lake Wanaka, Crown Range with photographic stops.
After breakfast, leave for Te Anau, the entrance to Fiordland, a UNESCO-protected area, where you will spend one night before leaving for Milford Sound or Doubtful Sound (less famous and called the "Silence spot"). Both offer a cruise option with lunch on board.
Milford Sound is the best known, stops include Eglington Valley, Mirror Lakes, the Chasm and incredible views of waterfalls and fauna like seals and penguins (booking is recommended). Your guide can arrange a tour (not included) once you arrive at Te Anau to see the caves illuminated by glow worms. Lunch and dinner not included.
Visit Milford or Doubtful Sound. Doubtful Sound is less known by tourists as it is placed in a quieter area. Lunch included during the cruise of approximately 1 hour 45 minutes to Milford, while at Doubtful the cruise is about 3 hours.
After breakfast reach Milford Sound (or Doubtful). If you have chosen Milford the stops include Eglington Valley, Monkey Creek, Mirror Lakes and the Chasm. After your cruise your guide will take you back to Queenstown to your accommodation. Dinner not included.
Full day at leisure. The guide can suggest half day or day trips around Queenstown. Among the activities to choose from there is golf, wine tasting, jet-boat, cruise to Wakatipu or just relax. Breakfast included - lunch and dinner not included.
Return to Christchurch or Queenstown Airport. After breakfast leave for Christchurch with a journey of about 6 hours (passing Lake Pukaki and Lake Tekapo) or departing from Queenstown Airport according to your flight. Transfer to your accommodation in Christchurch. Dinner and lunch not included.
