Kyrgyzstan tour: nature and winter classics

Arrival in Bishkek and transfer to the hotel, time available for a short rest. Guided tour of the city. In the city you will be able to see Ala Too Square, where fairs, festivals and concerts are held, and see the changing of guard, as well as the monuments to Manas, Lenin and Kurmadjan Datka, famous Kyrgyzstan heroes. You'll also see the Old Square, Victory Square and colorful Osh local market where you will find any kind of products. Dinner in a restaurant in the city.
After a short rest and breakfast in the hotel we'll head to Ala Archa National Park situated in the Ala Archa picturesque gorge 40 km from Bishkek. This is a place which is popular for hiking, skiing and mountaineering thanks to over 20 glaciers. It covers and area of 200 sqkm, mainly forested valleys, waterfalls and rivers full of trout. Walk in the gorge, then return to the parking area near the hotel for lunch. Travel back to Bishkek.
In the morning, after breakfast at the hotel and one hour drive, you'll reach Burana Tower, an old minaret, near Tokmok town. This minaret was built in the city of Balasagun, one of the capitals of the Karakhanid empire. We'll explore the ruins of an important trading post of the Great Silk Road and a small local museum. It will also be possible to see some ancient tombs called Balbals.
Lunch enroute then head to Cholpon-Ata where you'll visit the historic complex of Ruh Ordo.
Breakfast and departure to Oruktu village where we'll have a swim in the thermal baths, which are thought to have healing power. Lunch enroute. In the afternoon arrive in Karakol city, where you'll visit the Orthodox Cathedral of the Holy Trinity and Dungan Mosque, a place of worship for Chinese muslims, built in wood without nails. Dinner and overnight in typical houses.
Karakol is also a good base for skiing: in fact you'll find ski resorts for all levels and skills. The day is dedicated to skiing: you can rent the equipment and spend the day in the Kyrgyz mountains. Dinner and overnight in typical houses.
Departure yo Skaska hidden valley. A light walk will allow us the admire the beauty of the area, with limestone hills eroded by wind during centuries and transformed into a fantastic complex of columns and canyons with red hues and different shapes, similar to dragons or castles: like being in a fairytale. Continue to Bokonbaevo village: here you'll have the chance to visit the house of an eagle hunter and meet his eagles. Optional: Horse riding in the village valley. Dinner and overnight in typical houses.
Return to Bishkek travelling on snow-covered roads admiring the mountains. During the trip you can relax, drink hot tea and watch nature covered in fresh snow. Gala dinner in a typical restaurant.
Transfer to the airport.
