Breakfast. Transfer to visit Pella. Located on the hills overlooking the Jordan Valley, Pella is positioned in a perfect spot, especially due to its perennial spring. In 67 AD, Pella served as a refuge for some Christians who escaped from the Roman persecution of Jerusalem. Later Pella became an episcopal city, and its bishops attended the Ecumenical Council of the Church.

Prosperity continued in the Byzantine period, when the settlement extended and the churches were built. Continue on to Um Qays, associated with the story that Jesus cast out demons by sending them to a pig farm; the demons then fell down a steep slope and drowned in the lake. Overnight in Amman.
