This journey begins in Guwahati, Assam, before reaching the Tawang Highlands at over 3400 meters above sea level in the middle of a Buddhist environment. Morning, after an early breakfast drive to Kaziranga National Park (around 7 hours). This UNESCO World Heritage Site is situated on the northern banks of the mighty river Brahmaputra. Kaziranga National Park supports a variety of flora and fauna. This park is known for Great One horned Rhinoceros. On arrival check in at the hotel or resort. Overnight at Kaziranga.
Morning Elephant Safari in the Park, enjoy the elephant ride on the western range, or central range. Back to hotel after breakfast visit some ethnic villages: Kajir Ronghangpi Aklam, Kohora and another one. On the way back short visit to a tea plantation. Afternoon Jeep Safari in the central or western range. Rest of the time free for individual activities. Overnight at hotel or resort.
After an early breakfast drive to Bomdila (around 7-8 H drive), en route visit some typical villages and small hamlets, as Bhalukpong, situated between the board of Arunachal and Assam, and Naag Temple. On arrival at Bomdila check in at the hotel. This small town is situated an altitude of around 2500m. It is the land of Monpa, Sherdukpen, Aka, Miji and Khawa tribes. Accommodation at Hotel Tsepal Yangjom.
After breakfast visit Bomdila monastery, craft centre, Jaswant Garh & Sela pass (4200m), on arrival at Tawang check in to the hotel. Tawang is the majestic homeland of the Monpa, sharing the board with Tibet and Bhutan. Tawang is the abode of Mahayana Buddhism, and there are some Buddhist monasteries. On arrival check in to the hotel. Rest of the time free for individual activities. Accommodation at Hotel Gakyi Khang Zhang.
After breakfast full day visit of Tawang, including Tawang Monastery, Anis Gompa (The Nunneries), Urgelling Monastery, the Giant Buddhist statue, the Craft Centre & Local market. Overnight at Tawang.
Breakfast at the hotel and later full day excursion of Zemithang Valley, visit the Gorsam Chorten, around 90 Km from Tawang town, which is the largest stupa of the area, built in the early part of the 12th century by Lama Pradhar, a Monpa monk. Later drive back to Tawang. Overnight at the hotel.
Morning drive to Dirang, en route visit Lhou Village (ancient Monpa Village), the rock paintings near Jung including rock carvings of Lord Buddha Shakyamuni, Avaloketeswara and Guru Padmasmbhava, as well as Nuranang waterfall. On arrival at Dirang check in to the hotel, rest of the time free for individual activities. Overnight at the hotel (Hotel Pemaling).
After an early breakfast drive to Nameri National Park, following the Kameng River & Balipara – Bhalukpung Road. Later afternoon arrival at Nameri and check in to the Eco loge for overnight stay. Time permitting, visit the National park. Overnight at the Eco lodge.
Morning visit around Nameri National Park for bird watching etc. After breakfast at Nameri Eco lodge, commence the drive to Majuli Island, en route cross the Brahmputra river by local ferryboat, visit a tea factory, Naagsankar Temple etc. On arrival at Majuli check in to the lodge.
Majuli is the largest river island in the world, acclaimed mainly as the main centre of Vaishnavite culture and Satras of Assam. Srimanta Shankardeva, the Vaishnava saint and religious reformer of Vaishnavism and his disciple Madhavadeva took forward the Vaishnavite culture at Majuli. Visit Aunianti Satra, Uttar Kamalabari Satra, Natun Samaguri Satra, Pottery Culture and Mishing Tribal Village.
Breakfast and drive to Ziro, once again cross the Brahmputra river by local ferryboat (around 5-6 H). On arrival check in to the hotel. Ziro is the abode of the Apatani peoples, set at a high altitude and renowned for its pine and bamboo groves, terrain and high altitude fish farms. Arrival in Ziro and check in to the hotel. Evening free for relax and a visit to the local market. Accommodation in an Abasa homestay or Hotel Blue Pine.
In the early morning after breakfast proceed to Daporizo, (drive around 6 h). En route visit Nyishi and Hill Miri tribal villages. Continue the drive to Daporizo and on arrival check in to a basic lodge. Daporizo is located on the right bank of Subansiri River, a small place full of Tagin, Hill Miri, Adi and Assamese, tribes. If the time allows it, visit the Tagin tribal village.
Morning once again visit Daporizo as Tagin Tribal Village, Menga Cave and Galong tribal village. Later drive to Alon, set on the south bank of river Siyom, in Aalong locally called Aalo, known for adventure activities such as trekking, hiking, angling and biking tour. On arrival check in to the hotel. Rest of the time visit the local market.
After breakfast a full day excursion of Aalog (Aalo) valley, visit Donyi – Polo Temple, Galong Tribal Village, Suspension Bridge, and villages. Overnight at the hotel. In the evening you can enjoy a cultural show of Erap dance (warrior dance of Galong tribes) or Tapi Dance (Adi-Minyong tribe).
Breakfast at the hotel, later proceed to Pasighat, en route visit the confluence of Siang and Siyom River, Komsing, Adi Minyong tribes village and Kekar Monying. Further drive to Pasighat, one of the oldest towns of Arunachal Pradesh and homeland of Adi tribes, set on the bank of Siang river. On arrival check in to the hotel.
Morning drive to Dibrugarh. En route cross the mighty Brahmaputra river by local ferry boat. Dibrugarh, “the tea city of India”, is located eastern part of Assam and is the main educational hub of Assam. On arrival check in to the hotel. If time allows it, visit Haaj-Paar weaving centre. Overnight at the hotel.
Morning drive to Mon via Sibsagar, in Sibsagar visit Shiva Dole, Sibsagar Tank, Rang Garh, Tolatol Garh, later drive to Mon (Nagaland) which is the homeland of former head hunters, the Konyak Nagas. Arrival Mon and check in to the guest house or local house (very basic).
Sightseeing around Mon and meeting with local people.
After breakfast drive to Mokokchung via Jorhat, en route visit Tocklai Tea Research Institute, upon arrival at Mokokchung check in simple to a hotel or local house (Hotel Metsuben).
After breakfast full day visit Mopungchuket and Ungma villages. Rest of the time free for individual activities. Overnight at Mokokchung.
After breakfast drive to Kohima, en route visit Longkhum, Wokha, Longsa, Tseminyu and Tuophema Touris villages. Later continue to Kohima, on arrival check in to the hotel. Kohima is the capital city of Nagaland and situated at around 1450 m above sea level. Kohima is inhabited by the Angami, Rengma, Kuki and Zeliang Naga tribes. On arrival check in to the hotel.
After breakfast full day visit around Kisama and Kohima Villages, Catholic Cathedral, Kohima War Cemetery, Sales Emporium and local market. Overnight at the hotel (Japfu or similar).

It is possible to upgrade to deluxe services (Superior hotels / superior rooms whenever possible as per budget and superior car like, Toyota Innova / Mahindra Scorpio / Xylo).
