    Departure for Chichicastenango, sightseeing of the church of St.Tomas and the indigenous market. In the market of Chichicastenango, the most famous of Guatemala, there's a mixture of Mayan and Spanish traditions; every Thursday and Sunday (market days) the small town becomes a real bazaar of handcrafts where you can see and buy a variety of textiles, ceramics and objects of carved wood.

    In St.Tomas church, located in the main square, every day the representatives of several neighboring villages that have been assigned to the worship of various saints gather together. You will be able to see natives offering incense and praying to their gods and saints in a charming mix of pre-Hispanic and Christian rituals.

    Lunch in a restaurant and departure to Lake Atitlan, one of the most beautiful in the world, dominated by three volcanoes and inhabitated along its banks by different communities belonging to various ethnic groups.

    Arrival in Panajachel, the main inhabitated town on the banks of the lake.

    Visit the city, a colonial monument of the Americas, capital city of Guatemala till 1773. Its colonial treasures include the Palace of the General Captains, the Municipality Palace, Arms Square and the Government Palace.

    The ruins of several churches and convents are also interesting, for example La Merced Church and the Capuchin Church.

    Travel by coach to Copan in Honduras to visit the archaeological area which has been considered Unesco Heritage Site, surely one of  most majestic of the whole Mayan culture, famous for its Baroque atmospheres and its extraordinary rares and ceremonial altars belonging to the classic period.

    Departure by bus to Puerto Barrios. Along the route visit Quiriga archaeological site. Here you can admire the biggest Mayan carved rock, whose weight is about 65 tons.

    Continue by motor launch to Livingston.

    Visit Tikal archaeological site.

    Tikal is considered as the most beautiful Mayan site: the incredible abundance of pyramids and inscribed stones proves that this city was the most important in the Mayan world in the 8th century. The ruins, most of which are still covered in vegetation, are located on an area of 576 sqkm and those already brought back to light can be seen while strolling near the pyramids which are up to 70 meters tall, built 200 years before our era. From the top of the 4th temple, the view on Peten jungle is impressive.

    At the end you will be transferred to Flores airport for the flight to Guatemala City.
